kinda morbid
BellCanada sucks ass. Funny that they can even annoy me from here. Di had her brother shut off our service with them when we moved (thanks Di), because they wouldn't let me do it over the phone, which is reasonable enough. I mean, I'd been paying the bill with my bank account for the past two years, but it makes sense that they only allow the person whose name is on the bill to close the account. Don't want crazy exes shutting off people's phones in fits of rage, I suppose. Although I wonder what they do when someone dies, ask for a call from beyond the grave? Anyway, I tried to look up the amount for the last bill so I could send them a check. Once you close your account with them, they don't allow you to see your last bill online, it just says that the account is closed and to have it forwarded to your future bellcanada account. I know that isn't much of a story, but it was just so typical of Canada. Funny, it didn't make me nostalgic one bit.
Anyway, I went to the beach today, which was ok. It was a bit overcast so we didn't stay long. We went to Cabrillo park in Point Loma, which is a kind of nature preserve. I don't think I have been there since I was a kid. Apparently, if my little brother dies in the Marines (he plans to join after high school), he wants to be burried up there in the military cemetery. He told my mom a while ago because they make you sign a paper when you join up. I found it rather morbid.
