hipster and company
I had an interview this afternoon. I'm kind of ambivilent about the job, because I don't think it pays very well and is in Encinitas. Why I can't find a job in my actual metropolitan area, I just don't know. The drive wasn't that bad, about 45 minutes, but that is because it was in the middle of the day. During regular hours, it would take much longer. Anyway, I would be a content writer, which would require doing research on medical and legal issues, so that doesn't seem so bad.
The office was full of hipsters. The lady that interviewed me was wearing jeans and a cute little blazer and pointy shoes and the requisite dramatic framed glasses; she was like a freaking h&m model. The were all young too. There were even a pair of skis in the office. (It's Southern California, where the hell are they skiing so often that they keep them in the office anyways?) I was wearing business casual clothes, grey dress pants and a conservative black sweater. I felt like a total dork. It wasn't at all what I expected. I have to do a writing sample for them this weekend, so we'll see how it goes.
In case anyone was wondering, I took down my entry yesterday because I figured the world doesn't particularly need anouther vitrolic account of the suckitude of Canada. I'm saving it for my novel.
