photo shop curry

Things with Paddy are moving along. This weekend we met Di in San Francisco and went to the Legion of Honor. It was a clear day--couldn't have been more beautiful. We almost ruined it by getting truly disgusting indian food. The restaurant had taken over the place next door, so we got relagated to this strange room that looked like an entirely different business from outside. Although as Di pointed out to me today, it's kind of funny to be able to say that we ate curry in a one hour photo shop. After Di left for the pub, Paddy was pretty stressed out from driving in the city, so we stopped for a little while on the way home and walked along the beach.

When we got back to his house, we talked for a really long time about how we feel about each other and our relationship. We're really talking, rather than hoping for the best and getting really freaked out about what the other person might be thinking (as was the case previously). I've been surprised at how comfortable I felt, and how different it is now. I mean, when we were dating before, I don't think either one of us ever uttered the words, "our relationship"--no, actually I'm sure of it. Who knows if it will work out this time, but so far it has been really good; somehow it seems like we are doing something solid and real, if that makes sense. I'm sure some of you are wondering, so let me just say that we've gotten off the slow boat.
