onward and upward
I'm working for a new agency, but so far it hasn't quite paid as well as my old one (whatever, it's a dollar an hour less, it won't kill me). Maybe it will even inspire me to get a real job--you know, one that isn't over after a week and a half. I'm working somewhere now, and writing this on their computer, so naturally I'm not going to breathe a word about them.
I went on a job interview on Moday at a law firm as a legal clerk. The office was very nice, not corporate, seemed like there were perks because there clients were mostly very rich white collar criminals. Basically, the job would be part research, part investigation, part admin and part office slave. I think I could deal, because at least I would be learning a new skill and seeing if I am interested in law. Onward and upward, I suppose. I would be excited, because, although I do try to work on things like translation and keeping up on world events while at the reception desk, it is hard to stay motivated. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but the interview went well.
