it didn't just need a postmark?

Guess who's a dumbass? Yes, it is me. I thought my application had to be postmarked by the 15th, but no, it had to be received by the fifteenth. Guess who just ran to the post office and mailed their application without even reading it over again? Right. Me.

Their website just said "due" on the 15th. I was putting the thing together so I could have a good look over it before mailing it tomorrow, when I decided to look online for an application checklist. The actual department didn't have one, but I noticed all the other departments were pretty clear that they wanted it to be received by the 15th, ie, they put it in bold, italics and then underlined it. So, I called, feeling a bit sheepish, and yes, it does need to be there by tomorrow. Good thing I finished the personal statement this morning, although I really wanted to give it a look over tomorrow after having slept on it or having someone else read it. At least I don't have to agonize over this one any more.
