Hooray for me!

I moved on Saterday--so far it has been a great improvement on my last place. It doesn't actually take much to improve on a place that had vines growing in between the floorboards. Actually, my new place is to the same standard as most of my former residences, so I am very pleased. And, my new roommate seems to find the extreme neediness of my cat to be charming, at least for now. So that's good. I think I will be much happier now.

I also got my first grad school application back--accepted! Very exciting--especially that it is so early. It isn't my first choice school because of it's location (I want to stay in the Bay Area), but it bodes well for the rest of them. I don't know about funding yet because it was an on-line acceptance from the registrar, but I must be a first tier candidate to get an acceptance in mid-February. I can stop worrying that I will have to be a temp receptionist for the rest of my life. Hooray for me!

My reception job today is not so great--they but an ad in the paper for a dishwasher and cook for the cafeteria, so the phone has been ringing off the hook. And I don't speak Spanish, so it has been a frustrating day. To say the least.
